1. Worshipper & General Prayer Schedule Questions

The Adhan time represents the astronomical moment a prayer window begins according to solar calculations (e.g., when the sun passes the meridian for Dhuhr). In contrast, the Iqamah time is the specific time when the congregational prayer physically stands behind the Imam in the prayer hall. Mosque committees set Iqamah times 10 to 30 minutes after the Adhan to allow worshippers to perform wudu, commute to the mosque, and offer Sunnah prayers.
MasjidConnect couples astronomical solar calculations based on recognized international calculation methodologies (such as ISNA, Muslim World League, and Umm al-Qura) with direct verified committee inputs for local Iqamah offsets. This ensures that the schedule you see reflects the actual time the Imam says the Takbir in your local prayer hall, rather than just an abstract computer estimate.
On the Home Portal Page, simply click the "Select Mosque" dropdown in the top navigation bar. Select any listed mosque (e.g. Downtown Islamic Center, Al-Noor Mosque, Dar-us-Salam, Al-Falah Society), and the application instantly reconfigures all timetables, Jumu'ah shifts, notices, and address info without reloading the page. Your selection is automatically remembered for your next visit.
When the countdown to congregation reaches 5 minutes or less, the countdown digits shift to a high-urgency radiant red, signaling to worshippers that prayer rows are forming. If sound is enabled on your device (hotkey: M), a gentle synthesized Web Audio chime will sound precisely as the timer strikes zero, notifying attendees in the wudu area that Iqamah has commenced.
Yes! On the main portal, click the "Print Schedule" button on the sidebar. A clean, high-contrast, black-and-white printable monthly timetable modal will appear formatted specifically for standard Letter/A4 paper, free from web styling or dark ink waste.

2. Friday Jumu'ah Shifts & Community Notices

Many metropolitan and suburban mosques experience high Friday attendance exceeding hall capacity or available parking spaces. To accommodate working professionals, school schedules, and municipal fire codes, committees organize two consecutive Jumu'ah services (e.g. 1st Shift at 1:15 PM and 2nd Shift at 2:15 PM), each featuring a full Khutbah and two-rak'ah congregational prayer.
On the portal home page, locate the "Friday Jumu'ah Prayer Timetable & Khatib Schedule" section. This card displays the guest scholar or Imam name, Khutbah start time, prayer Iqamah time, and the weekly sermon topic for both shifts.
Janazah announcements are posted exclusively by authorized mosque committee members through the passcode-secured admin portal. Administrators verify the passing with the bereaved family, confirm the prayer timing with the Imam, and designate the exact cemetery burial plot before publishing.
When you see a Janazah alert card or urgent notice, click on it to open the Notice Detail Modal. Click the green "Share to WhatsApp" button. A pre-formatted, dignified message will open directly in your WhatsApp app complete with deceased name, prayer time, cemetery address, and authentic Dua.

3. TV Kiosk Mode & Hardware Signage

You do NOT need any specialized digital signage hardware. You can use any modern Smart TV (Samsung, LG, Sony, TCL), or plug an affordable $25–$35 Amazon Fire TV Stick or Chromecast with Google TV into any existing HDMI television. See our comprehensive TV Kiosk Deployment Guide for step-by-step setup instructions.

No! MasjidConnect leverages HTML5 browser local storage caching. Once the webpage loads once, the master clock, Iqamah countdown, and rotating tickers continue running smoothly even if your mosque's Wi-Fi network experiences an outage.
Five minutes prior to any scheduled Iqamah congregation, the TV display automatically reveals a pulsating high-visibility warning banner: "PLEASE SILENCE MOBILE PHONES & STRAIGHTEN ROWS." This automated reminder eliminates the need for the Imam to verbally remind latecomers every prayer.
